Mothers and More

Mothers and More is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support, education, and advocacy.  All mothers are welcome.  I am a member of the West Cobb Chapter of Mothers and More.  We meet twice a month at the Village Green Kroger on Dallas Highway in Marietta.  Beginning May 6, we will meet at West Cobb Chiropractic located at 5041 Dallas Hwy. Suite 500 in Powder Springs.

Besides the bimonthly meetings, our chapter offers many other opportunities for members.  Many of our members attend a playgroup once a week.  Our playgroups are assigned based on the age of your child.  You may belong to as many playgroups as you like.  We also have a super playgroup once a month which all members and their children can attend.  Other subgroups include book club, scrapbooking club, walking club, and seasoned Moms group.  We also have Mother's Night Out where we Moms go out together without our husbands and children.  We also have activities which include husbands and other ativities for the whole family.  Mothers and More is also actively involved in the community.  We participate in outreach programs which benefit those in need.

April 20: Vacation, Vacation, Vacation!- Start planning your family vacation and share your vacations on a budget with other Moms.
May 6: Mothers- The Real Story- Watch the movie Parenthood and enjoy some laughs, good food, and great company!
May 20: CPR (Basic Life Support)- Join our guest speaker from the Center for Continuous Quality at Cobb/Douglas Counties Board of Health as she demonstrates CPR and basic life support skills.
June 3: Best of the Best- Join our roundtable discussion about the best places to visit around town.
June 17: Managing Mommy Stress and Anger- Join our discussion on what triggers an angry response and learn tips on how to stay cool, calm, and collected.
July 1: Chat in the Hat- Come dressed in your favorite hat as we pass our hat of thought and provoking questions.
July 15: Beauty Secrets/Pampering Night- Bring your own supplies for a manicure and pedicure and share/gather beauty secrets.

There are other chapters of Mothers and More in metro Atlanta including  Atlanta, Dekalb/Decatur, Douglasville, East Cobb, Gwinnett County, and Woodstock.  If there is not a chapter in your area, visit the national website below for information on starting your own chapter!
